Why groups book Ak-Chin Southern Dunes
A course nothing else in the valley plays like. Australian Sand Belt bunkering and wide corridors on 320 acres of Ak-Chin land.
Tournament pedigree, value pricing. An annual US Open qualifying site that has also hosted NCAA events and Korn Ferry Tour Q-School.
Easy logistics for groups. Caddie service, Callaway rental clubs and the on-site Arroyo Grille keep a multi-foursome day simple.
About the course
Ak-Chin Southern Dunes opened in 2002 and earned its Top 100 ranking on design and conditioning, not marketing. Wide corridors and natural sand belt bunkering reward aggressive lines while leaving room for strategic layups, and fast, true greens keep it fair for every handicap in your group.
The land was part of the Ak-Chin Community's original 1912 reservation before an executive order removed it later that year. Nearly 100 years later the Community reclaimed it. Today the course stands as both a championship venue and a testament to that perseverance.
“Ak-Chin Southern Dunes is a hidden gem. The natural features create a visually stunning and challenging course. Our group enjoyed the diverse layout it provided, being unique for the desert.”
